Speech Success.

We all did a speech/reading from a novel of our choice which was a lot of fun. We all presented our speech in front of our class. Mrs Gardner and the class selected two Year 5's and two Year 6's to progress to the Senior Team Finals. From there, Zed and Sheon qualified for the School Finals in the Year 5 section.

Everyone was awesome!

Huge congratulations to Zed for achieving 2nd place in the School Final Speech Competition. We are all very proud of you.

Amazing Art.

Mr Pearce taught us for the day and we did this amazing Aboriginal art. Come and see more in our room.

Matholon

Scott & Ashwin represented our class at the recent Maths Competition that was held at the Edgar Centre. They trained hard and competed admirably. We are awaiting the official results but Mr Mulholland told us they did extremely well. Way to go boys.

Art Gallery

On Wednesday we visited the Dunedin Public Art Gallery to have an art lesson with John. We viewed a lot of artwork through the gallery with emphasis on buildings/structures. John shared many interesting facts about each piece.

After our tour we were able to do our own sketch of a local building using these amazing pencils that when you used a paint brush with a dab of water the pencil turned into paint.
Excitement having an entire bus just for us.
