Birds in Flight

On Friday 30th May we visited the Otago Museum to study birds. Paul was our educator for the session and he set up stations for us to explore different parts of the birds and their structure. At these five stations we learnt about the anatomy of birds. It was fun looking at different species of birds. We also used ipads to take photos ........

Welcome to Term 2

We have started the term full of enthusiasm towards our learning. Our inquiry unit on 'flight' has taken off by learning about  New Zealand  artist Don Binney and the features of his works. Isla has shared her knowledge on Don Binney as she researched him as part of a talent group last year.  We are currently creating our own Binney art using pastel and will post them when we finish.
