Inflatable Brain

Today we were fortunate to have Molly-Jo's mum (Joanna) and some of her co workers to teach us about the brain. We went to 3 different stations.
The first station was going inside an inflatable brain and learnt about Alzheimer, strokes and other diseases
Next we got to touch real preserved brains, one with Alzheimer, one with a stroke and one normal. People said the brains felt like bouncy balls.
The last station we went to was with a person called Diane. She told us what she did and she showed us a picture of real brain cells. She wanted to figure out if there were more chemicals in a persons brain with a disease or less chemicals. She did this by using animals brains and squishing them then she put them in a little tube and whizzed them for 5 seconds in a little machine, some of us got to put our finger in that machine.
We really enjoyed all of the stations but the only downside was that we only had half an hour! we still loved the learning everything about the brain and we wish that we can do it again!.
